Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains what data Veloana collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. This is a good-faith draft; the final policy will be updated at product launch.

What is true today: only the website is live, so the data we actually collect right now is what you submit through the early-access and contact forms, plus the cookies described below. What describes the app: the sections covering voice recordings, transcripts, AI-generated feedback, and in-app deletion describe how the Android app will work at launch — they are not active yet.

1. Who we are

Veloana ("we", "us") builds an AI communication and performance coaching product. You can reach us at privacy@veloana.com.

2. Data we collect

(a) Website and early-access data (live today)

  • Your name, email address, country, and the primary goal you select on the early-access form.
  • Your consent choice for receiving product updates.
  • Any message you send us through the contact form.
  • Cookies and your cookie preference, as described in the Cookies section.

(b) In-app data (once the app is available)

  • Audio recordings of the practice sessions you choose to record.
  • Transcripts generated from those recordings.
  • AI-generated feedback and scores associated with your sessions.
  • Account information (account identifier, email address, and sign-in details from your identity provider).
  • Basic usage analytics needed to operate and improve the product.

3. Third-party processors

We rely on specialist providers to run the product. Each processes data under its own data protection terms, and their infrastructure may be located outside your country:

  • OpenAI — receives your audio recordings and/or transcripts to convert speech to text (Whisper) and to generate feedback and scores (GPT-4o). Purpose: producing the performance analysis you asked for.
  • Supabase — receives account and authentication data, database records (including early-access sign-ups and contact messages), and stored files such as recordings and feedback. Purpose: authentication, database, and storage.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it with advertisers.

4. How we use the data

To send early-access invitations and reply to your messages, to run practice sessions and generate personalized feedback, to show your progress across sessions, to improve the product, and to send only the updates you have opted into.

5. Retention

Early-access records are retained until you request removal or until the beta ends. In-app recordings, transcripts, and feedback are retained in your account until you delete them — either individually or by deleting your account through the in-app deletion flow — after which the associated data is removed from our systems within a reasonable period, allowing for routine backups to expire on their normal cycle.

6. Your rights

Once the app ships, you can delete your account and everything associated with it (recordings, transcripts, and generated feedback) directly in the app. You can also always email privacy@veloana.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, or to withdraw consent — we will help either way.

7. Children's privacy

The minimum age to use Veloana is 13. The product is intended for teens (including high-school students) and adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with data, please contact privacy@veloana.com.

8. Cookies

This site uses cookies and local browser storage that are essential to run it and to remember your cookie choice (that choice is stored locally in your browser). We also offer an optional analytics category: if you select "Reject optional", no analytics tracking is enabled. Third-party analytics is currently not enabled on this site, and we will only enable it after you consent.

9. Security

We apply industry-standard safeguards: encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls on our database and storage, and limiting access to the people who need it to operate the service. No system is completely secure, and we do not claim any formal certification or audit.

10. International transfers

Your data may be processed by service providers outside your country, including the providers named above. We rely on the appropriate safeguards available to us for those transfers.

11. Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app.
